Arsenal have finally agreed on a deal to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund for a club-record £55m according to reports.

Manager Arsene Wenger was coy about how close they were to signing him recently but the newest reports from German outlet Kicker state that an agreement has finally been reached for the Gabon international.

Arsenal had two bids believed to be in the region of £50m turned down this month.

It now seems though that Arsenal have finally got their man after a bid of €63m (£55m).

The reports also states that Olivier Giroud is likely to be on his way to Chelsea as he was not keen on a move abroad to Germany. It’s stated that the Frenchman prefers to stay in London and Chelsea are desperate for a striker after their talks for Edin Dzeko have seemingly collapsed.

It’s thought Arsenal want around £35m for Giroud so Chelsea will have to pay quite a bit more to get him than they have offered for Dzeko which was around the £28m mark.
