Atletico Madrid To Take Disciplinary Action Against Antoine Griezmann

The latest reports claim that Atletico Madrid will take strong action against Antoine Griezmann for his actions this past week.

In the midst of an ongoing transfer saga, the Frenchman took it upon himself to miss training despite being specifically instructed to attend.

Griezmann has been involved in transfer speculation with Barcelona for over two seasons now. Last summer, he created an entire documentary of him choosing to stay at the Wanda Metropolitano but after only a year, he has gone back on his words.

Atletico president earlier stated that the Blaugrana have been in talks with Griezmann since the break of the year and has already agreed personal terms. The player himself revealed that he will be leaving the La Liga outfit after the 2018/19 campaign.

Diego Simeone immediately turned things around by signing a replacement in Joao Felix. However, they are unwilling to let go of Griezmann for anything less than their £108m asking price.

The Rojiblancos are not about to make things any easier for the player who have made things so difficult for both the club and their fans. Barcelona claim they began negotiating with the player only in July when his release clause dropped from £180m to £108m.
