Manchester City left-back Benjamin Mendy has promised Pep Guardiola that he will do a little less social media activity. Mendy was impressive against Arsenal yesterday as he set up both of City’s goals.

Following the match, City boss Pep Guardiola said that he is glad to see Mendy back in full fitness. However, he also said that the Frenchman will have to work on a few things on and off the pitch.

Talking about Mendy’s performance, Guardiola said, “Mendy is Mendy. Sometimes we want to kill him and sometimes you think wow what a player we have. He gives us energy. Mendy has a lot of things to improve and hopefully we can convince him to forget a little bit the social media and improve a few things.”

Guardiola’s statements were posted by Manchester City on Twitter. Mendy retweeted the post with the caption reading, “oops” followed by a smiley face.

The 24-year old then replied by telling, “I will I promise”. His statements were followed by a smiley face and a blue heart emoji.

City will play their next League game against Huddersfield Town on Sunday.
