The Premier League side are big fans of the 19-year old

Bournemouth are eyeing a summer move for Leeds’ Lewis Cook.

According to the Daily Mail, the Cherries are planning to try and sign him in summer once the transfer window opens its doors.

They did try to sign the youngster back in January, as they tried to boost their squad ahead of the second half of the season. However, Leeds were reluctant to let him go and managed to keep hold of him.

Bournemouth though remain big admirers of the midfielder and they are set to once again try and prise him away from Elland Road at the end of the season.

Leeds won’t let him leave on the cheap

He has continued to be a tremendous force in the Championship for Leeds and he has quickly become a firm fan favourite and arguably one of the side’s best and most talented players. His amazing performances in the Football League have caught the eye of several top sides including Chelsea and Man United, but the Cherries are confident they could land him first.

He won’t be cheap though – Leeds regard him highly and although there have been reports that there is a release clause of just £5m in his contract, the Elland Road side have denied it and have instead valued him at £12m.

It’s a rather big price for Bournemouth to pay but one that they would be more than willing to if it means landing the 19-year old.
