The club completed the club-record signing of the Spanish international on Friday – with the striker signing a five-year deal at Stamford Bridge.
The club website had already strongly hinted that Morata would be given the No. 9 shirt – placing Morata’s image between N’Golo Kante and Eden Hazard in a list of players in numerical order.
And now Chelsea have confirmed via their Instagram account that Morata is indeed officially the club’s new number nine.
