Frank de Boer is said to be keen to strengthen his defensive this summer and is now looking for alternatives to Mamadou Sakho after being priced out of a move for the Liverpool defender.
The 27-year-old has been in top form while on loan with Palace, however, Liverpool are now asking £30m for the Frenchman and De Boer’s side are backing away from that option and now looking to wrap up a deal for Chambers.
The England U21 international spent last season on loan at Middlesbrough but doesn’t appear to have a long-term future at Arsenal after being usurped in the pecking order by Rob Holding.
