Klopp is short on centre-backs
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp could be forced into the transfer market for a centre-back after several setbacks.
Following a nightmare pre-season, the Reds’ boss has been left with just TWO recognisable first team centre-halves in Dejan Lovren and Joel Matip.
Joe Gomez, who has just returned after nine months out with an anterior cruciate ligament injury, will miss the start of the season with an achilles problem.
Mamadou Sakho could also miss the opening weeks of the campaign with a similar injury.
And with Kolo Toure being released and Tiago Ilori heading to the Rio Olympic Games with Portugal, the Anfield club might have to sign reinforcements.
