Antonio Conte has made several signings this summer.

The North London has signed six players already this summer and are currently looking to offload a few of them from the squad.

One of those players is Sergio Reguilon who has fallen out of favour under Conte as the manager prefers Ryan Sessegnon at left wing-back.

Alasdair Gold gives an update on the defender’s future when he was asked by a fan in a Q&A session on football.london.

“Is it true that Spurs will only begin to pay for Reguilon this window?” asked the supporter.

“So any incoming transfer fee for him wouldn’t really go in the pot so to speak.”

Gold replied: “That’s was I was told, that this was the summer the Spaniard’s fee had to be paid to Real Madrid, or at least started to be paid back.

“So yes, in a way they are looking to sell him to offset that. And I get the impression Conte just doesn’t see him as fitting his wing-back mould.

“It’s also the La Liga club’s last summer to buy him back at an agreed price of around £42m, which looks highly unlikely.”
