Paris St-Germain have joined Chelsea in the transfer battle for Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez.
The future of the Chilean at the Emirates Stadium has been under scrutiny for some time. He has one year left on his current deal.
PSG want him to join their impressive forward line as they plan for another assault on the Champions League next season, having been the victims of an unbelievable comeback by Barcelona this term.
The French club have Edinson Cavani and Angel Di Maria in their ranks, and they are looking to add Sanchez to that.
PSG have a long held interest in Sanchez, they have already sounded out the Chile striker’s representatives and hope to hold further talks later this month.
Chelsea are also admirers of Sanchez, but Arsenal would rather sell to a foreign club rather than a Premier League rival.
Sanchez told media last week that he expected to see out his contract at Arsenal and wanted to stay in London ‘but for a team with a winning mentality’.
‘I am happy in London and I hope to finish my contract with Arsenal. Hopefully Arsenal can push to win the big titles,’ he told El Grafico.
