Manchester United want Juventus left-back Alex Sandro according to reports.

The Brazilian has made it clear to the Juventus board that he wants a move with Manchester City and particularly Chelsea interested in his services.

And now The Times report that Manchester United want to battle for his signature in the January transfer window. Manchester United have had mixed success with their left-backs with Luke Shaw out-of-favour while Ashley Young is ageing.

Chelsea had multiple bids rejected for Sandro last summer but now it’s understood that Juventus are willing to let him go after contract talks stalling.

Sandro has been desperate to move to the Premier League and since the failed bids, Sandro has had a poor season and his form has dipped.

It’s believed that a bid of around ÂŁ60m will land the talented left-back.

The Times report that Sandro is Manchester United’s preferred option at left-back while Chelsea remain extremely keen on his signature.

This could mean a bidding war could ensue in January and Juventus may want to cash in on the bidding war with an increased price.

Jose Mourinho has frozen out England youngster Luke Shaw while Daley Blind is also not considered first-team quality for United.
