Jose Mourinho opens the door for loan arrival Gedson Fernandes.
Gedson Fernandes arrived on an 18-month loan from Benfica in January 2020.
Tottenham have the chance to make the loan permanent but since his arrival he has only played 13 times for the North London outfit.
Once Portugal’s brightest young prospects, Fernandes fell out of favour in the Benfica first-team before his switch to Spurs.
The Portuguese midfielder’s temporary switch to Spurs failed to make an impact and could go back to his former club when the winter transfer window opens.

Mourinho told SportTV: “For me it is never a problem, but a solution. Having him in the squad, even if he is not called up and not playing, is an extremely comfortable situation.
“I will never be the one to push him or say that I don’t want him here. But I understand the situation of the kid and Benfica.
