The former PSG man will discuss whether his future lies with Man United this week

Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Jose Mourinho will hold talks over the striker’s future this week, according to reports.

The forward has so far had a good first season in England, scoring 20 goals in 34 games so far this campaign.

It’s a superb record for the 35-year old and he could also still win some silverware with the club in his first season, with the Red Devils not only in the final of the Capital One Cup but they are also still in the FA Cup and Europa League.

They currently sit in 6th place in the Premier League too and although a push for the title now seems unlikely – Chelsea are 12 points ahead of them in first place – they could certainly still claim a top four place too.

Interest from Chinese Super League

All in all then, it could be a good first season for Ibrahimovic in Manchester and the club are keen to keep him on for a further 12 months.

There is an option in his current deal to extend his current contract for another season and with the forward happy in England, he could very well agree to have another year in the Premier League.

Several sides from China are believed to be keen to take him at the end of the current campaign but Jose Mourinho is determined to ensure his future – at least for another season – is with the Red Devils.

Talks about extending his deal are set to be held this week.
