Real Madrid and PSG chasing Premier League manager

The transfer window may be closed, but there could be movement at some of Europe’s top clubs soon in the managerial department if reports are to be believed.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino in particular is attracting a lot of interest, especially after his team’s recent performances against Real Madrid. Spurs beat the European Champions 3-1 at Wembley last week and also drew 1-1 away.

Los Blancos are one of the names being linked with Pochettino. Although Zinedine Zidane has done an excellent job at the Bernabeu, winning two Champions League titles and also La Liga last season, it’s not always enough for Florentino Perez.

Madrid have lost their last two matches, and if their form doesn’t pick up soon they may start considering their options.

Also in the frame is Paris Saint-Germain. TransferMarketWeb say that manager Unai Emery will be sacked soon, especially as Neymar is reportedly unhappy with the Spanish boss’ methods.

Pochettino played 95 times for PSG during a two spell at the club between 2001-03, and has previously stated a desire to manage his former club.

“Come to Paris? I hope so. It is true that it would please me. It’s part of my dreams. I’ve always said that I would be pleased to join a great club like PSG,” he said back in 2016.

Right now Pochettino appears to be happy at Tottenham, but it won’t be long until a top side really tests both his and the club’s resolve to force him to leave North London.
