Liverpool not expected to be busy today

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has confirmed he expects no new faces arriving at Anfield today, but refuses to rule out players leaving the club.

The Reds have been after Shakhtar Donetsk striker Alex Teixeira in recent weeks, but that race is all-but over for now after the two clubs failed to agree on a transfer fee.

The Ukraine outfit wanted closer to £40million, whilst Liverpool were only prepared to pay around £31m.

None In

Speaking in his press conference today, Klopp was open and honest about the club’s transfer activity, and he confirmed that he doesn’t expect any new signings today, but he cannot rule out players leave.

It’s reported that Adam Bogdan, Jose Enrique and Jerome Sinclair could be the trio leaving Anfield if first-team football is offered elsewhere.

So it could be three out and none in for Liverpool today.
