Liverpool confirm Origi will return to Lille

Both Tottenham  and Liverpool were heavily interested in young Belgian forward Divock Origi to bolster their striking options. 

The Reds have now spent £60million so far in the transfer window after landing a deal for young Serbian Lazar Markovic for £20million earlier this week.

However Liverpool were favourites to sign Origi for a while and managed to, and there is now speculation that he will be loaned back to his old side Lille for next season.

Lille confirmed recently that this was the case and manager Rene Girrard has spoken about the issue saying: “Divock Origi will be here (at Lille) this season,” 

However despite Origi being seemingly sorted, there is still speculation over the future of former Chelsea forward Salomon Kalou.

Girrard added: “We’re less certain about Salomon Kalou but for now he is at Lille,
