Manchester United’s heartthrob Paul Pogba’s late winner stuns Australia.

The France star scored a late goal in the opening game as they beat Australia 2-1 in Kazan on Saturday.

The game also involved two successfully converted penalties before the Frenchman struck the late winner.

Paul Pogba has become the first France player to score at consecutive World Cups since the legendary Michel Platini.

On the normal basis, France have been far from at their best today.

But the new technology has done them some favours as VAR has helped France on goals scored by both Paul Pogba and Antoine Griezmann.

The first goal was penalty, it looked like very controversial decision, as it didn’t necessarily look a penalty.

But there can be no doubt that this from Pogba crossed the line.

French camp probably know that there is plenty still to work on for Deschamps and his side.

France’s case in particular they cannot expect to play so poorly again and get away with it.

It is not very often that you’ll get this much luck in the biggest footballing stages.
