Manchester United youngster, Mason Greenwood has caught the attention of plenty with his hattrick against Chelsea in the 4-3 Youth Cup win and the fans are already demanding for him to start over Romelu Lukaku.

Just 3 years back, a wobbly but supremely confident school kid named Marcus Rashford was handed his first start by Louis van Gaal against Arsenal and was rewarded with 2 match winning goals.

While some claim Greenwood is following in the same footsteps of Rashford others might call him a younger Robin Van Persie but with more pace. The 17-year-old has managed 20 goals in just 17 games this season and is quickly proving to everyone that he is far too good for youth football.

With Jose Mourinho sacked and Lukaku struggling to perform his duties in front of goal, it would not be the worst idea to give Greenwood a shot at the throne.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have to figure out a way to get this United side back to winning ways. His predecessor’s work at Old Trafford has left the club in quite a difficult spot while heading into the busy winter schedule.

The Red Devils are 17 points off the top of the Premier League and 9 points behind the top four. It certainly would not hurt to introduce some fresh energy into the side.
