Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho dismissed concerns about his job, joking that sacking him would cost Manchester United a lot. Mourinho said, “They say I’m in danger, but I don’t think so. If they sent me away, do you have any idea how much money they would have to give me?”

The Portuguese faced criticism after his team lost two of their first three Premier League matches. After the 3-0 loss to Tottenham at Old Trafford, Mourinho acknowledged the supporters with passionate clapping. During the post-match conference, he stormed out after defending his Premier League record.

The Red Devils put an end to their losing streak by beating Burnley 2-0 thanks to a brace by Romelu Lukaku. During the match, a protest banner was flying with the words, “Ed Woodward a specialist in failure”. Following the win, Mourinho said, “I didn’t see planes, but Ed Woodward won this afternoon. He won 2-0.”

Manchester United are currently 10th in the league table and next take on Watford on September 15.
