Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly made a major breakthrough in their chase for Juventus attacker, Paulo Dybala.

Sky Sport Italia’s transfer expert, Gianluca Di Marzio claims that Spurs have submitted a €70m bid for Dybala which the Bianconeri has accepted. Juve are happy with the offer and are willing to let Mauricio Pochettino’s side discuss personal terms with the 25-year-old.

Manchester United have already been noted to be interested in the player but neither parties could reach an agreement. Dybala’s sky-high wage demands have proven to be a major stumbling block in a potential Old Trafford transfer.

It is now upon Tottenham to wrap up a deal for the Argentine in the final days of the transfer window. Pochettino should take some caution in the fact that Dybala has rejected a move to the Premier League due to his present situation.

The attacking midfielder, who can be deployed in various positions is willing to stay and fight for his position under the new boss, Maurizio Sarri. His underwhelming scoring record of 10 goals and only 5 assists last season saw him get dropped from his starting position at Turin.

Competition is expected to be even higher this season with Aaron Ramsey coming in on a free transfer. Maybe Dybala turned down an United move because of their lack of Champions League football but he can certainly be convinced by his compatriot to come feature for the tournament’s last season finalists.

But, how will Pochettino integrate Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen and Paulo Dybala in his starting lineup?
