Tottenham Hotspur are ready to let Brazillian midfielder Paulinho leave the club to re-sign for former side Corinthians.
The Brazil international was one of the many signings that Spurs made with the £86million they received from the Gareth Bale departure.
Spurs fans were happy to see him join the club after fantastic reports from Brazil but the 26-year-old has failed to live up to his reputation while at White Hart Lane.
Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is ready to have a clear-out of ‘deadwood’ in the summer transfer window with Paulinho being one of those players.
His former club, Corinthians in the Brazilian league, are favourites to re-sign the midfielder after their sporting director Edu Gaspar hinted at a return to the club for Paulinho.
Gaspar said: “Paulinho is still a very popular player over here.
“There are always obstacles but I don’t feel the finances will prove a problem.” he added.
