Former Palace winger believes that current Palace player Wilfried Zaha is now completely ready to play for big English clubs. The forward was already a part of Manchester United for 2 years between 2013-15 but the player played only 4 games for the Red Devils.
Due to his poor performance he was sent back to Crystal Palace. The player has represented 144 games for Palace and was 25 times on the scoring sheet.
The player has rebuilt his career and has come out as a potential player in his last 3 years for Palace.
In talks with Love Sports Radio, the former player admitted that that Zaha is ready to play at the big stage.
He said,
“He came back and he’s been absolutely sensational. It is his home, he is comfortable and he knows everyone”
“He would fit into any team – Chelsea, Tottenham, Arsenal – and I can see all those guys clambering for him and the lure of a big club, playing in big arenas and in the Champions League. I think turning down this contract in a massive indication that he’s got some interest elsewhere and could be ready to move elsewhere.”
Zaha was linked with some clubs with Spurs been the frontliners during the transfer window but there is no official call yet.
“I think he brings something different to Spurs”
“He wouldn’t necessarily be a starter but I think once he goes and trains and [Mauricio] Pochettino gets hold of him and they work with him and explain to him…I think he understands that side of the game and going and defending”
“I believe that Zaha’s physicality, strength, pace and ability on the ball is just phenomenal.”
