Eden Hazard has revealed he’s “waiting” to sign a new contract with the Blues, however, there’s “nothing” to report as yet.
The Belgian is yet to play for Chelsea this season as he continues his rehabilitation from a broken ankle he suffered while on out on international duty.
Hazard penned a new five-and-a-half-year deal back in February of 2015 but has been expected to sign an extension worth ÂŁ300,000-a-week this summer to cement his place as Chelsea’s main man.
The 26-year-old currently takes home in the region of ÂŁ200,000-a-week and is understood to be happy at Stamford Bridge, enjoying his most productive season to date as the Blues won a second title in three seasons in May.
However, Hazard hinted he is yet to be offered fresh terms.
“At the moment there’s nothing,” he told reporters at a Belgium press conference. “I’m waiting.”
He added: “It’s been two weeks since I rejoined the group at Chelsea.
“I have not yet played an official game but I feel good and I’m looking forward to playing.”
