MK Dons teenage midfielder Dele Alli is undergoing a medical at Tottenham Hotspur, according to Sky Sports.
Alli, aged 18, is set to be loaned back to the League One outfit to help their promotion quest, following the conclusion of the £5 million deal, which will see him move to White Hart Lane in a deadline day transfer.
Newcastle had previously been favourites to land the midfielder, however Spurs have stole the march and are set to secure the deal.
The North London club have a history of signing toung British talent, with the likes of Gareth Bale, Michael Dawson, Tom Huddlestone and Jermaine Jenas all joining the Lilywhites in the past.
Alli, who has been capped at youth level by England, has impressed for Karl Robinson’s Buckinghamshire-based side this season, having netted 12 times in 32 outings at Stadium:mk.
