The American shot-stopper did seven seasons at Villa Park
Middlesbrough have today completed the free transfer of Aston Villa goalkeeper Brad Guzan.
The USA international has put pen-to-paper on a two-year deal at the Riverside Stadium.
Guzan, 31, becomes Aitor Karanka’s eighth summer signing following Boro’s promotion back to the Premier League.
And he is also the second ‘keeper to join in this transfer window, after Victor Valdes’ move from Manchester United.
Guzan made 34 appearances for Villa last season, as well as playing every game for the USA as they reached the Copa America semi-final.
