This Liverpool player WON’T be going to the Africa Cup of Nations, but who is it?
Liverpool defender Joel Matip WON’T be going to the Africa Cup of Nations in January 2017.
The Cameroon centre-back, who joined the Reds in the summer, had a recent fall out with his international manager Hugo Broos.
However, Matip is glad that he can stay on Merseyside.
The 25-year-old has worked his way into Jurgen Klopp’s first team and wants to keep his starting spot at Anfield.
