Liverpool have shown interest in signing 23 year old Sevilla goalkeeper Sergio Rico.
The Spaniard impressed for Sevilla last season making 35 top flight appearances, keeping 12 clean-sheets in the process.
The 23 year old’s performances have not gone unnoticed across Europe as both Liverpool and Milan are ready to go head to head to sign the star.
According to reports from Spanish outlet Cadena COPE Sevilla already have several offers on the table for their highly-rated shot-stopper.
Liverpool are said to be one of the clubs interested in securing his signature. However, they could reportedly face stiff competition if they look to take Rico to Anfield.
The reports from Cadena COPE also say AC Milan are also keen viewing him as a potential replacement for Gianluigi Donnarumma who has recently rejected a big money deal from the Rossoneri to renew his contract at San Siro, and is into the final 12 months of his deal..
Rico’s current contract with Sevilla still has two years left to run. However, that deal includes a release clause of around £26m.
