Lampard has said that it will be close to impossible to replace striker Diego Costa if he decides to leave Stanford Bridge in the summer.
Costa has been the center of news that he weill either leave for Atelico or the Chinese Super League, neither of which have been confirmed.
However, on that, Chelsea legend Frank Lampard has given his take on the whole situation.
Asked about the prospect of Chelsea having to replace Costa, Lampard told Sky Sports earlier this month: “It would be very hard.
“You’re talking about the top level of strikers. You’re trying to think of them and it is quite hard.
“In the Premier League, you’ve got Harry Kane and Romelu Lukaku. You might not be able to sign [one of them] and you’ll have to pay a lot of money.
“I think Chelsea will want to keep him. It’s whether Diego Costa wants to stay.”
