Playmaker rubbishes claims of contract stand-off

Mesut Ozil has said he is happy at Arsenal and has rubbished claims of a contract stand-off, saying he and the club are waiting until after Euro 2016 to sit and discuss his future.

Newspaper reports over the last couple of days have suggested that Ozil is delaying new contract talks to extend his current deal, which has 2 years left on it.

However, he has rubbished the claims to say he is happy at Arsenal and not looking to move away.

While in Dubai last week, Ozil said: “I still have two years contract with Arsenal, as you know, and we will be in talks with the club and we’ll see what happens in the future.

“But as I said, now I’m concentrating on Euro 2016 in France, which is very important for me and my team after the last World Cup. Then later on, I will see what I do with Arsenal.”
