Aaron Ramsey suffers ANOTHER setback

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger confirmed last night that midfielder Aaron Ramsey has suffered yet another setback in his recovery, and will now miss a further two weeks of action.

The Welshman, who started the season superbly for The Gunners, picked up a serious thigh injury on Boxing Day during the 3-1 victory over West Ham United at Upton Park, but the midfield-man was expected to make his return for the North London derby against Tottenham Hotspur two weeks ago.

If failing to make the Spurs game, Ramsey was at least expected to make the Chelsea game a week later, but once again, he failed to be in the squad and for the Swansea City game last night, he also wasn’t included.

After seeing his side draw 2-2 to Gary Monk’s men, Wenger was questioned about Ramsey’s return date, and the Frenchman confirmed that there has been another setback.

Wenger said: ‘Ramsey is maybe two weeks. He’s had a setback.

‘He’s had some scar tissue, then you have to slow down and the tendon is in a sensitive place. You always have to push but not too far.

The Arsenal boss then confirmed more bad news for the club as he admitted Laurent Koscielny and Mesut Ozil are also way off being fit again.

‘Koscielny is out for a while, after that Ozil is at least two or three weeks.’
