Consequently, Ivory Coast, original hosts of 2023, will host the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, and Guinea, original hosts of 2023, will host the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
The six stadiums that will eventually host the matches are the Olembe Stadium and Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo in the capital Yaoundé, the Kouekong Stadium in Bafoussam, the Limbe Stadium in Limbe, the Japoma Stadium in Doualaand the Roumde Adjia Stadium in Garoua. The Grand Finale is at the Olembe Stadium in Yaounde.

The AFCON 2023 will, as I said, take place in Cameroon. This will only be the 2nd time that Cameroon will host the tournament. The last time they hosted was back in 1972. This year, 6 stadiums will host the tournament across four cities.
Japoma Stadium
The Japoma Stadium is one of the largest football stadiums in Cameroon. This stadium was expected to finish by the year 2019 and is a 50,000-seater stadium
This Stadium will host 1/4th of the tournament’s total group-stage matches.
Olembe Stadium
This is the home ground of the Cameroon National Team. It opened in 2018 and this will be the first stadium this stadium will host matches during the African Cup of Nations and also the finals.
Olembe will host the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2023 African Cup of Nations.
Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo
This is the second stadium in Yaoundwhich will host the African Cup of Nations matches. Formed in 1972, the stadium used to be the home venue of the Cameroonian National Team and was recently renovated in 2016.
Like the Japoma Stadium, the Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo will also host 8 matches. Morocco will play all their group games here.
Roumdé Adjia Stadium
The RoumdĂ© Adjia Stadium at Garoua is one of the oldest stadiums in Africa and has a capacity of 30000 people. This Stadium will host 7 matches during the tournament including all of the Group-D matches. It’ll also host two last 16 matches.
Kouekong Stadium
This Stadium is the home ground of Petrojet and will host 8 matches during the competition including all of Tunisia’s group games. Like the Alexandria Stadium, this stadium will also host two knockout matches- a last 16 game and a quarter-final.
Limbe Stadium
This stadium will host all of the matches of former champions Cameroon. It will host a total of 7 matches during the tournament
