Mario Pasalic is set to leave Chelsea for Spartak Moscow, with Antonio Conte agreeing to his departure.

Croatia international Mario Pasalic has spent the past three years on the Blues’ loaned out book after moving to Stamford Bridge from Hajduk Split.

He’s yet to make his senior Chelsea debut and he’s since picked up first-team experience during loan stints with Elche, Monaco and AC Milan.

And that doesn’t look as if it will change as Croatian website Tportal have today spoken to the Chelsea player’s agent Marko Naletilić and he’s confirmed his client is close to a move to Spartak Moscow.

“Our negotiations with Chelsea and Spartak Moscow were both successful. At the moment we are travelling from London to Rome, where Mario will undergo a medical. If everything is fine, and we do not doubt it, Mario will travel to Moscow on Wednesday.” said Naletilić.

According to Tportal the primary reason for Pasalic choosing Spartak is Champions League football, and his annual salary will be more than €2m.
