Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is having a hard time getting through to Anthony Martial.
According to the MEN, the forward was struggling to follow touchline instructions from his manager against West Brom.
United looked lacklustre in their 1-1 draw against the Baggies. It ended up striking a blow to their title-challenge.
reporter Samuel Luckhurst claimed, “Solskjaer had … to holler Martial ‘s name and jolt him into sprinting towards the Newcastle area when he was loitering by the halfway line.
“Martial failed to keep with Daniel James when had he done so he would have met the Welshman’s drilled cross.”
Luckhurst adds that the manager later reportedly shouted, “Some movement!”
“Antho, move. Start moving.”
Martial has endured a difficult campaign, falling behind Edinson Cavani in the pecking order. He has only scored 4 goals in 20 Premier League appearances which is not good enough for a starting number nine at Manchester United.
Lackhurst concluded, “Come next year, Martial will have two years left on his deal and there would have to be a drastic transformation over the next 15 months for United not to consider cashing in. He is too flaky, turns 26 in December and is approaching six years at the club.”
