According to reports Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has now turned his attention to Portugal International João Cancelo
João Pedro Cavaco Cancelo is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a right back for Spanish club Valencia CF and the Portugal national team
Signed from Benfica in 2015 for €15m, Cancelo has made 73 La Liga appearances for Los Che and netted three international goals in four caps.
Sky Sports report the English champions are keen to sign the Portuguese defender, who is also wanted by Juventus and Tottenham.
The 23-year-old is reportedly rated at €25m by officials at the Mestalla but a potential bidding war could drive up his price.
Chelsea and Tottenham are reported to have had the defender extensively scouted during this summer’s European Under 21 championships.
Now it’s also reported the Conte is very keen to get him over to Stamford Bridge and is about to make a bid very soon.
