Arsenal were allowed to speak to the player over the weekend and it seems that PSG are willing to let him leave after he turned down a new contract offered by the Parisien club.
After reports of the French giants accepting the Gunners’ £5.6m bid emerged, Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio says the PSG man is on the verge of joining Arsene Wenger’s side.
It is thought that Roma have made a late bid for Rabiot in an attempt to hijack the deal but the North London side have offered the teenager an impressive new deal and are really pushing to see the deal through.
The 19 year-old’s current contract with the Ligue 1 champions runs out at the end of the season and he has publically expressed his desire to play in the premier League in the past.
Rabiot will fight for a place against some of the best midfielders in the league, including Mesut Ozil, Aaron ramsey and Santi cazorla if he does join the Gunners in the end.
