Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger looks set to sign Real Madrid full-back Fabio Coentrao this summer for £25 million.
The Gunners sent scouts to watch Coentrao for Madrid over recent matches and are impressed by what they have seen.
Los Blancos are prepared to let the 26-year-old leave for north London, after joining the club in 2011, provided Arsenal meet their heighty asking price.
The first offer, which is set to go in over the coming days according to Spanish media, is likely to be accepted by the Spanish side.
Coentrao has been highly rated for some years and Arsenal look set to swoop once again from the Spanish giants, after signing Mesut Ozil for over £42 million in the summer of 2013.
Should Wenger get this addition, it would be a boost to the Gunners’ back four, as the Frenchman continues to spend big.
