Sam Allardyce wants to make Arsenal left-back Kieran Gibbs his first signing as Crystal Palace manager in January.

The 27-year-old’s current deal is due to expire in the summer of 2018 and The Sun claim that the Eagles are preparing offer for the January transfer window.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is to decide whether the England international will be kept for Arsenal’s push for the Premier League title, or if he will be sold to receive more money before his contract runs down within the next couple of weeks.

Gibbs, who was on loan to Norwich City in 2008, has also attracted interest from Welsh side Swansea City.

The left-back has made 131 appearances for Arsenal, scoring two goals but has only played five games so far this term.
