An angry Arsenal supporter has set up a rather bizarre petition for Liverpool to free Luis Suarez, after Liverpool owner’s John W Henry’s comments regarding a possible transfer.
Arsenal bid £40 Million plus a single £1 for Suarez in the summer, which was of course rejected by Liverpool.
Suarez himself has been in superb form for Liverpool this season, with the striker netting 24 goals in a superb season.
Henry’s comments over the weekend that Arsenal had matched the clause, however he rejected it, didn’t go down well with one gooner.
The @FreeSuarez1 Twitter account, who set-up the petition tweeted: ‘My dad is a lawyer and thinks because Liverpool has breached Suarez’ contract he can legally switch to Arsenal for FREE.’
The petition also states that he will pay Liverpool £4.5 million in compensation.
