Arsenal goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski could be on his way out of the Emirates Stadium and the Premier League altogether with a surprise move to Bundesliga side Schalke.

The Polish shot-stopper is growing ever more unsettled with life in London due to the fact he is behind counterpart Wojciech Szczesny in the ranks at Arsenal, and has also faced serious competition from loanee Emiliano Viviano.

Despite being at Arsenal for six years, the ‘keeper has only featured 69 times due to mainly being backup to former-goalkeepers Jens Lehmann and Manuel Almunia, with him now being Szczesny’s understudy.

Fabianksi featured frequently at the end of last season and caught Schalke’s eye during his clean-sheet against Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

They were then alerted by his availability when the Poland national manager said the following: ‘Lukasz told me recently that he wants to change clubs.’

When asked about his own sitation, the ‘keeper, whos contract is expiring in the Summer, had this to say: ‘I will soon make a decision about my sporting future.’
