The Gunners ready to sign Spaniard from FC Barcelona
Arsenal are ready to launch a Summer bid for FC Barcelona winger Pedro and could offer up to as much as £24million for the Spaniard.
The 27-year-old is ready to quit the Nou Camp after struggling to break into Luis Enrique’s first-team due to Neymar and Lionel Messi playing down the wings.
Pedro was expected to leave the club last year after being told he was no longer in their plans, but he refused to leave and insisted he’d fight for his place.
However, after another season behind Messi and Neymar, Pedro is finally ready to begin a new chapter elsewhere with several clubs interested.
European Interest in Pedro
According to reports, Chelsea, Liverpool and Inter Milan are all monitoring the winger and are all prepared to pay around £22m for him, but The Gunners are prepared to top that ever so slightly by offering £24m.
Pedro has netted 10 goals so far this season for Barca and was attracting interest from Arsene Wenger last year only for the deal to break down due to the winger’s desire to stay put in Spain.
Potential Walcott Replacement?
Eventually Wenger signed Alexis Sanchez for £32m, but he would now like to reunite the pair at the Emirates Stadium.
If Pedro was to arrive at Arsenal, it could signal the end for Theo Walcott who is still in contract talks with the club and is still struggling to win his spot back in the first-team.
