Arsenal’s left winger Oleksandr Zinchenko recently stated that Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah is his toughest opponent he has faced in the Premier League. Zinchenko, who has faced Salah four times while playing for Manchester City and Arsenal, has personal experience of the Egyptian’s terrifying skills.
In response to a question about the most difficult opponent he has faced in the English Premier League,
Zinchenko stated: ‘I would say Mo Salah, pace, power, an explosive player, he is so dangerous.’
Salah, often referred to as ‘The Egyptian King,’ made his Premier League debut in 2017 after transferring to Liverpool from AS Roma. Since then, he has cemented his status as one of the greatest wingers in the league’s history, amassing an impressive record of 196 goals and 83 assists in 319 appearances across various competitions.
Salah’s performances have been critical to Liverpool’s success, with the team winning both the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League during his tenure. He has continued to shine this season, with 10 goals and four assists in just 14 games.
When Arsenal plays Liverpool in the Premier League on December 23, fans may expect an entertaining clash between Zinchenko and Salah. On the field, it promises to be a battle between two top-tier players.
