Mourinho is keen to strengthen his midfield with not only recently signed Cesc Fabregas but with the addition of German ace Sami Khedira
during his spell at the Bernabeu in 2010. Mourinho brought the 27-year-old to Real and now would like to see him form a defensive midfield partnership with Stamford Bridge enforcer Nemanja Matic.
Arsene Wenger is thought be keen on Khedira as he looks to strengthen his squad and has been handed £100m to transform the north Londoners into genuine title contenders
He’s got his eye on Khedira as someone who could add muscle his midfield, but Arsenal now look set to miss out, with their London rivals in pole position to seal a deal.
