Arsenal are set to test AC Milan’s stature and resolve to keep hold onto Mario Balotelli, and bid for the maverick Italian centre forward in the Summer.

Balotelli has become rather frustrated with life back in his native Italy, after suffering problems at a personal level, and racial abuse.

Italian Newspaper La Gazzetta Dello Sport, and media source Tuttosport ghave suggested that Balotelli would be open to a move to Arsenal, or Chelsea.

Balotelli’s agent stated in January that his client was unhappy, and wanted to leave Italy, after koining AC Milan in the January of 2013, from Manchester City.

Balotelli was linked with a reunion with Jose Mourinho at Chelsea, a move which fell through after talks between the two parties.

The Italian striker was captured crying on the bench, following his substitution in the away defeat at Napoli, which turned out to be due to Racial abuse by the Napoli supporters.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has stated his desire to add a striker in the summer, and the deal could be helped along the way due to a kit deal, Arsenal have recently signed a deal with Sportswear brand Puma.

Balotelli also recently signed a boot deal with the company, and Puma have said they would help fund any possible deal, to bring Balotelli to London.

However, there could be a real stumbling block, with Milan said to value Balotelli at “twice the cost of Gareth Bale” – approximately ÂŁ150m.
