Arsenal to launch Fabregas bid

Arsenal are preparing to make a £35million bid in order to re-sign FC Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas.

The former-Arsenal captain is set to leave the Nou Camp this Summer after yet another less than impressive season for the Catalan club, and with a clause inserted in his contract, The Gunners get first option to buy back.

It was reported yesterday that Arsene Wenger isn’t interested in re-signing the midfielder, but he has been told by the club’s board to go out and sign him and bring him back to the place where he spent eight years developing into the player he is today.

The 27-year-old’s future was pretty much underlined when Luis Enrique took over, as he plans several changes in the squad this Summer, and Fabregas is expected to be one of several leaving the club.

Arsenal’s rivals Manchester United, are very interested in signing the Spaniard, and tried to sign him last year, but failed to do so, and now it’s the North London side that are in the drivers seat as they prepare to launch a £35m bid.

It’s not known where Fabregas will fit into Arsenal’s plans now that they have a whole host of talent in the midfield, but it’s thought that he is too much of a good player to turn down.
