Arsenal defender Jakub Kiwior targetted by several Serie A clubs.

The 23-year-old defender arrived from Spezia in January for a fee in the region of £20million.

He has failed to establish his spot in Mikel Arteta’s XI and still remains an understudy at Arsenal.

The defender is highly rated at the Emirates and fans believe there will be time for him to shine under manager Mikel Arteta.

Kiwior has been strongly linked with a move away from the Emirates and has drawn attention from a few Serie A clubs.

The Polish defender has only started 11 matches for Arsenal and has found minutes difficult to come by in England.

AC Milan, Napoli and Roma have enquired about a proposed loan for the outcasted defender with an option to buy.

Arsenal would want to recoup the €25m they paid Spezia for the 23-year-old defender and also bring in a replacement if the defender is leaving mid-season.

Earlier this season, Kiwior expressed his determination to break into the Arsenal first team.

“I wanted to play minutes as soon as possible but I was told that I needed to be calm, that I needed time to settle in,” he said.

“Those two months were important for me. It was a big change. I just tried to be focused in the training sessions and to get settled. The minutes eventually came, so it was a very valuable time.”
