Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has today confirmed that midfielder Aaron Ramsey has suffered a setback in his injury and will now miss a further few weeks.
The Frenchman hasn’t set a recovery date on the Welshman, but has told the club’s official website that it is likely to be a matter of weeks rather than days or months.
Ramsey, who has been in superb form this season, picked up the injury against his former-side Cardiff City, and hasn’t returned since.
However, he was set to make the squad for Tuesday’s encounter with Southampton, but he didn’t travel and after the game Wenger confirmed that there was a setback.
Today, speaking ahead of the match with Crystal Palace on Sunday, Wenger gave the latest news on Ramsey’s condition.
“Ramsey will be out for longer because he had a setback and it doesn’t look too good. It is matter of some weeks for him.”
