Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has refused to rule out re-signing Manchester United striker Robin Van Persie.

The Gunners sold their Dutch striker in the Summer of 2012 for a fee estimated around £24million, and later that season, the striker went on to help United win their 20th league title.

However, with Sir Alex Ferguson now retired and David Moyes at the helm, Van Persie is seemingly unhappy at Old Trafford and could seek a move back to the Emirates Stadium.

According to reports, promises were broken between Van Persie and United officials as the player expected both Ferguson and Rene Meulensteen to remain at the club for the forseeable future. They both ended up leaving the Summer after.

It is also been suggested that the striker’s family hasn’t settled well in Chesire and could be seeking a move back to London, and this is something Wenger hasn’t ruled out.

‘I don’t think it’s the best time to talk about that,’ he told reporters.

Although Wenger didn’t really comment on the situation, he didn’t choose to rule it out either.

Van Persie will be making an Emirates return tomorrow night as his United side take on Arsenal.
