Bacary Sagna wants Premier League stay…..

Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna is keen to remain in the Premier League after this season, but does not want to stay on at the Emirates Stadium after he feels ‘disrespected’ by the club.

The French international is not happy with how the club’s officials have dealt with the contract talks between the two, and the 31-year-old has now rejected a third offer from the club due to the talks dragging on since Christmas.

Arsenal have offered Sagna an extension three times now, but on all three occasions, their offer has been declined by the right-back due to there either being no pay-rise, or the duration of the contract not being long enough.

Despite wanting to leave The Gunners this Summer, Sagna is not keen on leaving England which could open the door to him switching to fierce rivals Manchester City or Chelsea.

A source close to Sagna revealed last month: “He will leave the club 100 per cent – there is no way he will stay.

“He feels very heartbroken, disgusted and disrespected by the board and the offers they are making, after being so loyal to the club for so many years.

“Now his focus will be to help his team-mates and the fans by landing the FA Cup and a top four finish.”

Sagna is believed to have wanted around ÂŁ100k-a-week, but was only offered ÂŁ75k.
