The former Tottenham man believes his current club should bring in Ben Woodburn during the transfer window
Gareth Bale believes that Real Madrid should try to sign Ben Woodburn from Liverpool this summer, according to reports.
The Welshman is a big admirer of the 17-year old and believes that his club should go out and sign the youngster if possible this summer, as he believes he could be of good value to the Spanish giants in the future.
Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool clearly believe the same, having tied him down to a contract until 2019. They too believe his future is bright and will want to keep him at Anfield this summer, despite interest from top teams like Barcelona.
According to reports from Spain, the Catalan giants have already made an approach for the forward and are hopeful of securing a deal for the teenager over the summer, as they look to add even more future stars to their squad.
First appearances for Liverpool
Bale though doesn’t want his side to lose out on a player he believes could be a good addition to the squad, especially to their main rivals, and so has encouraged Real to make a move for him as well.
Woodburn has only really been given his first chances of first-team action this season, having made his first nine appearances for the Reds this campaign in all competitions, even managing to bag his first goal for the club in an EFL Cup match against Leeds.
He has also impressed for the club’s academy sides and also for his country’s Under-19 side.
He has shown signs of his potential so far and Bale clearly believes he has a big future but we will have to wait and see as to whether Madrid listen to their player and launch a move for Woodburn or not.
