AC Milan have dismissed claims that striker Mario Balotelli could be heading for a Premier League return despite interest from both Chelsea and Arsenal. The London duo have been linked heavily with the Italian, however Milan are declining to negotiate. President Silvio Berlusconi has insisted that Balotelli will not be making a Premier League return this summer and is desperate on keeping the striker.

‘AC Milan must return to have a lead role in Italy, in Europe and in the world,’ he said. ‘Balotelli? I believe that he will stay and will be part of the new team.’

Balotelli, who scored 18 goals for both club and country in 40 appearances last season is currently preparing for the World Cup with the rest of his Italy teammates.
