Bayern Munich want Raheem Sterling

Bundesliga champions, Bayern Munich, are interested in signing Liverpool star, Raheem Sterling, as an alternative to Borussia Dortmund ace, Marco Reus.

Munich have been strongly linked with a move for Reus once his release clause activates next Summer, and despite the clause on being ÂŁ20million, it’s reported that Pep Guardiola will be looking elsewhere.

Reus was set to be the third Dortmund star to swap the yellow for red, following Robert Lewandowski and Mario Gotze, but it now looks like the Premier League and La Liga giants will have a free go at signing the German.

Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, Real Madrid AND FC Barcelona, have all been linked with Reus, but Munich have turned their attentions elsewhere.

According to reports, Munich are now monitoring Sterling, who has impressed at Anfield over the past two seasons, and Guardiola has urged officials to set the ball rolling with formal talks.

Sterling, who is also wanted by Real Madrid, has already rejected a contract extension at the club despite being offered a ÂŁ40k-a-week pay-rise, and his future is still uncertain, especially with the club struggling for form in the Premier League.

Liverpool are currently ninth in the league and are already out of the Champions League.
